I stopped into Street Taco a couple of weeks ago with a friend as we were coming back from shopping on Haight street. We were looking for something quick and the second we smelled the food from outside the door, we immediately decided we had to go in. The ambiance is very "fast casual" where you go up to a counter and order and then wait for them to call your name. You're able to watch the entire kitchen throughout the whole process and everything was cooked fresh to order. They have traditional al pastor cooked and shaved off of a vertical spit, the tortillas tasted homemade, and the guac was one of the best I've had in a while. The carne asade tacos were great, no tough or chewy pieces and great flavor. The chicken and fish tacos were also really good and they are very generous with the amount of protein they give. 2 tacos was definitely enough to fill both of us up. I'd definitely recommend for a quick, relatively cheap spot to get some really good tacos. I'll be stopping in again soon at one of their locations around the city!

I greatly enjoyed eating at this establishment. The food is relatively inexpensive and fast coming out. The service was also good for a Mexican place. And the overall ambiance of this place was good. I may come back again sometime. I give this place 4 stars. I highly recommend this place if you are in town.

Real decent Mexican food... a little more Americanized than I like (Not too hot at all) but unlike,"El Rancho Grande" (the other Mexican Restaurant just down the street), "Street Taco's" food has actual flavor. A good Mexican Restaurant must have good Salsa, and they did... The Chorizo, Chicken, Chips... fresh avocado... were all yummy. And two small containers with interesting Hot Sauce - a Green and an Orange... good stuff. But I forgot Cheese on my Burrito... d'oh! The gal who took our order was nice. I noticed the cook putting Rice and Beans in my burrito and I stopped her just in time. The Register gal asked, "You don't want Rice and beans?", and I told her no... and she very nicely asked if she could put anything else in my Burrito, and I said, "Sure, Salsa Fresca," and she was very accommodating.

Anytime I we're in the lower Haight Ashburry neighborhood I want to eat here. This is not a tourist beaten path, I love that unpretentious SF ambiance and the food is top notch, order anything that sounds good to you, can't go wrong, but the Quesadillas, tacos and taco salad are awesome. Their carnitas are fantastic. Very friendly helpful staff

Wow! We stopped at a lot of restaurants/bars along this street and this was my favorite stop. We got one al pastor and one carnitas taco which came with chips and salsa. Unfortunately, I go not live in this area but if I did I would eat here multiple times a week. It also seemed pretty popular since there was a lot of people there ordering, waiting for food, and eating. The staff was so friendly and nice! The restaurant is a decent size, maybe in the smaller size and they do have tables but not that many.

I've been visiting Street Taco for years now and have always been impressed with the quality and price! I visited again recently and ordered the Quesadilla which comes with sour cream, guacamole, and salsa. In the past, these toppings were sides that came separately from the quesadilla, but this time they just put them all inside the quesadilla which also works. All of the ingredients tasted fresh and this was such a filling, wholesome meal for around $10 in SF. I also like the chill, laid back ambience of the restaurant. You order and pick up at the front, and the food comes quickly. It gives the vibes of a fast-casual restaurant with the food quality of a nicer place. I'm excited to visit again soon!

These are some of the best tacos I've ever had. For two tacos at $10, it's good value in Haight Ashbury. The meat has always been juicy (I like the carne asada and Al pastor), and the handmade tortilla really takes this taco to the next level. We've also gotten the guac, which tasted fresh and was a huge portion. There are several tables inside, and the service has always been quick and friendly.
